PUBLIC SERVICE INNOVATION NETWORK

Public Service Innovation Week 2022 will take place from Monday 24th to Friday 28th October 2022. The theme for 2022 is ‘Championing Innovation and Transformation in the Public Sector’.

The week provides an opportunity to highlight the importance of innovation and transformation in our Public Service by showcasing innovative initiatives at a national level, which provide better outcomes for our citizens.  It also provides an opportunity for public service bodies to raise awareness of innovation by hosting innovation-related events. To this end, we are asking your organisation to participate in Public Service Innovation Week 2022 by hosting your own event(s).

Your chosen event(s) can be in person, online or hybrid and can take the form of a talk/webinar, an interactive workshop, a hackathon/sprint, or an L&D initiative. You can also choose to run the event(s) for your own staff, or, if you wish to highlight some of the excellent work your organisation is doing, you can run an open event.

If you have an idea, but do not know how to progress it, or if you want to host an event but don’t know where to start, please reach out to us (or through your organisations Innovation Representative) in your reply and we can arrange a call. The Public Service Innovation Team is available to discuss your event ideas and support you in the planning and promoting of your event(s).

To help us support you, I would be grateful if you could please fill out our Event Planning Form for each event you are planning to organise during Innovation Week 2022, which can be accessed through the following link. You may be required to liaise through your organisations Innovation Representative prior to completion of the form, if applicable.

This information will allow us the opportunity to provide you with relevant support and promotional material for your event and you will be required to complete a separate form, in the event you are considering in organising multiple events.

We will have an open consultation week from the 05th – 09th Sept 2022 and will provide you the mechanism to set up a direct call (max – 30 minutes) with a member of the Innovation Team.

To arrange a call please email innovation@per.gov.ie, providing your requested date/time and what level of support you are looking for.

Workshop events will also be advertised shortly through https://www.ops.gov.ie/ and will be designed to provide additional information and support for organisations seeking to run an event(s) through Innovation Week 2022, and to learn about the Public Service Innovation Fund.

We look forward to hearing back and supporting you in Championing Innovation and Transformation in the Public Sector.
