The BEAI are excited to finally share with you the Programme for the 2022 Annual Scientific Conference on 30th September 2022 in the Aviva Stadium, Dublin. Click here to SAVE THE DATE. We have lined up a variety of presentations and speakers for you. The conference is a celebration of the evolution of Biomedical and Clinical Engineering since the BEAI was first established 30 years ago. Presenters will share with you some of the unique projects and innovations they have developed as part of thier roles working in Clinical Engineering. We then hope to explore what the future may hold for Clinical Engineering working in the healthcare sector.
The BEAI hopes you can join us on the day to celebrate the first in-person conference since 2019. Delegates will get the opportunity to network with colleagues and meet with vendors to view the latest technologies and trends in medical devices. There is free parking at the Aviva and lots of public transport options to get there. The BEAI are also offereing a travel bursary to delegates commuting by public transport from long distances. The BEAI Executive Committee calls for nominations for the 2022 Clinical Enginering Healthcare Technology Support Award 2022. The prize will be awarded for the first time at the BEAI Annual Scientific Conference in the Aviva Stadium, Dublin on 30th September 2022. The Clinical Enginering Healthcare Technology Support Award is given to Health Technology Suppliers in recognition of the excellent support service for equipment, medical devices and other health technologies being used in the Irish healthcare system using the following criteria:
- Responsiveness: time to resolution of issue
- Technical Knowledge and expertise
- Clinical-Technical Knowledge
- Suitability of documentation: format, timeliness, comprehensiveness
- Patient-Focus
- Understanding of Client Needs
- Innovative Solutions Orientation
- Value for Money
Hospital based (non-corporate) BEAI members are being asked to nominate and rank their preferred Healthcare Technology Supplier using this form.
The winner will be announced at the 2022 Annual Scientific Conference on 30th September 2022.
Voting will close on 26th September 2022.

SCIENTIFIC CHALLENGE
ICBHI Scientific Challenge Competition of the Health Informatics Working Group of the IFMBE.
Participants must identify individual heartbeats from ballistocardiogram (BCG) records of patients and healthy volunteers for this year’s challenge.
