Senior Clinical Engineering Technician Ref No:  ROTECC0217/2022A Permanent Full -Time (37 hours per week)

 

Applications are invited for the role of Senior Clinical Engineering Technician in the Clinical Engineering Department of the Rotunda Hospital. The successful candidate will handle  the  day  to day technical problems and work  tasks  related  to  the  management,  maintenance, repair and calibration of medical equipment. 

 

Eligibility Criteria

 

Essential Qualifications and/or Experience:

 

The successful candidate must hold as a minimum a recognised qualification at National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) Level 7 or higher, in one of the following:

 

• Electronic
• Electrical
• Instrument Physics
• Industrial Instrumentation
• Applied Physics
• Mechanical
• Mechtronic
• Biomedical Engineering

Or

• Hold a recognised qualification at least equivalent to one of the above.                                           

And

• Have a minimum of three years postgraduate satisfactory and relevant experience in an appropriate medical industrial field, including at least two years in a clinical engineering environment is desirable but not essential.

And

• Candidates must possess the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and administrative capacity) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
