World Congress on Medical Physics and Biomedical

It is a great pleasure and honour for The Biomedical / Clinical Engineering Association of Ireland (BEAI) to submit a joint bid to act as the host society and organizer of the 2028 World Congress on Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering.

The BEAI was established in 1992 and since then has been an active force influencing the profession and role of Clinical Engineering in the provision of healthcare in Ireland, Europe and beyond. The BEAI aims to serve and advance the interests of its members through continuous professional development opportunities, development and promotion of professional standards, advocacy and representation, member services and to act as a bridge between industry, academia, and the health system and by ensuring the optimal use of medical technology to improve patient outcomes. The strong focus at conference events and meetings, on engineering and healthcare technology, along with an objective for shared learning and improving the provision of healthcare using medical technology, organised by the association in Ireland over the years is recognised across the globe, drawing on expertise both nationally and internationally.

The World Congress on Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering offers a unique opportunity for medical physicists, biomedical/clinical engineers, and healthcare professionals from all over the world to come together to learn and share knowledge, to discuss the latest research outcomes and technological advancements as well as new ideas in both the medical physics and biomedical/clinical engineering fields.

It is our intention that the 2028 World Congress on Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering in Ireland will become a memorable event both professionally and socially to all participants and that holding the World Congress in Ireland would benefit the international community of Medical Physicists, Biomedical/Clinical Engineers, and healthcare professionals.
